We are now looking for a new team member for the Weather & Climate Unit and the Meteorology Group. With us, you will work at the intersection of climate science, data analysis, and IT development to make climate data accessible, understandable, and useful for society. About the Group The group's mission is to compile data and disseminate information about climate. We contribute to the public good by making weather and climate data available, adapted to society's needs, for government agencies, businesses, researchers, and the general public. Operations include climate statistics, web services, expert opinions, responses to consultations, and consulting assignments. We also participate in national and international research and development projects. About the Position The work tasks are varied and conducted in close collaboration with colleagues in different project groups. You will work with processing, quality assurance, and making climate data available for both internal and external users. The role also includes delivering climate statistics to government agencies and other stakeholders, as well as conducting analyses and investigations in the climate and extreme weather field. You will also contribute to the development and management of operations-related IT services. About You We are looking for someone with a university education in natural science or another field deemed relevant for the position. Basic knowledge of programming, for example Python, is a requirement, as are skills in Microsoft Office. Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written, is a requirement. It is meritorious to have experience/knowledge in: Climatology, meteorology, hydrology, oceanography, or statistics Data analysis and visualization Web development Project management, communication You are an analytical and problem-solving person who plans and carries out your work in an efficient manner. It is important that you enjoy finding solutions together with others and have good collaboration skills. You are receptive to users' needs and adapt easily to changing circumstances.
