The agricultural schools at Axevalla Equestrian Center, Svenljunga, Sötåsen, Uddetorp, and the Biological Vocational College function as competence centers for growth and development in the green industries. We are now seeking a machine operator/instructor for our school farm operations. Description At Sötåsen, outside Töreboda, you will find a center for ecological and sustainable agriculture. Here we operate an organic and KRAV-certified farm with the help of substantial machinery and the latest technology for sustainable crop production. The school manages 260 hectares of arable land, 115 hectares of forest, and organic garden cultivation. The farm has 65 dairy cows, 60 young stock, 45 ewes with lambs, and 40 sows with piglets. At Sötåsen you can study the Agriculture Program with specializations in farming, animals, and horticulture. The school also hosts an adapted upper secondary school and adult education programs. Job Responsibilities As an instructor, you will primarily operate and handle agricultural machinery, as well as perform service and repairs on machines and animal facilities. You will also be involved in animal care for our dairy cows, pigs, and sheep. You will serve as an instructor for our students in practical educational activities. The majority of the work consists of various farm operations, typically working together with students. You have good practical skills with machinery and animals and an aptitude for operating equipment. You have an interest in crop production and are inspired by working in a team with both colleagues and students. Since much of your work will involve instruction, we place great emphasis on your personal qualities. Qualifications - At least 3 years of relevant professional experience - Driver's license category B for manual transmission We place great importance on personal suitability. Desirable Qualifications - Professional experience with farm animals - Education in agriculture, such as agricultural technician or agricultural engineer Terms Temporary position at 100% employment, vacation relief work with possibility of extension.
