The Agricultural Administration is part of the Västra Götaland Region. Would you like to develop with us? We are now seeking a machine operator/instructor for the school farm operations. Description At Sötåsen outside Töreboda, you will find a center for ecological and sustainable agriculture. Here we operate an organic and certified farm with the help of solid machinery and the latest technology for sustainable crop cultivation. The school cultivates 260 hectares of arable land, 115 hectares of own forest, and organic garden cultivation. The farm has 65 dairy cows, 60 young cattle, 45 ewes with lambs, 40 sows with piglets. At Sötåsen you can study the Agricultural Program with a focus on agriculture, animals, and gardening. The school also has an adapted upper secondary school and adult education programs. Job Responsibilities As an instructor, you work primarily with operating and handling agricultural machinery, as well as servicing and repairing machinery and farm buildings. You will also work with animal care for our dairy cows, pigs, and sheep. You function as an instructor for our students in practical teaching moments. The majority of the work consists of all kinds of work occurring on a farm and usually together with students. You have good skill with machinery and animals and a talent for driving. You have an interest in crop cultivation and are inspired by working in a team with both colleagues and students. Since your work will largely involve instructing, we place great importance on your personal qualities. Qualifications - At least 3 years of relevant professional experience - Driver's license category B for manual transmission. We place great emphasis on personal suitability. Meritorious Qualifications - Professional experience with farm animals - Education in agriculture, such as agricultural technician or agricultural engineer Terms Temporary position with 100% employment, vacation coverage with possibility for extension.
