We are now looking for a nurse for Medical Ward 4 at Kungälvs sjukhus – a ward where acute care, learning, and development come together. With us there is a senior nurse function with clear clinical presence in everyday work. The function is part of our systematic work with patient safety, learning, and competency development and provides security for new colleagues as well as support and deepening for more experienced nurses. This is Medical Ward 4 Medical Ward 4 is a broad internal medicine care ward in an intensive development phase. Today we have 28 beds, of which 7 are acute care ward (AVA) and 2 beds will be used during the fall to develop medical investigation. We care for patients with: Internal medicine conditions Surgical diagnoses This means knowledge-intensive, varied, and developing work where you quickly build a strong clinical foundation. The work is characterized by variation, flexibility, and the opportunity to gradually broaden or deepen your role based on interest and experience. Parallel with the care ward, we are developing: Medical investigation – daytime operations with focus on medical assessment, investigation, and coordination Close collaboration with the hospital's other medical wards, including HIA and IMA, which provides the opportunity to work across multiple care levels, follow patients through the care chain, and deepen expertise in more advanced care. Together this creates a cohesive whole where multiple care levels collaborate – and where you as a nurse can develop and try new roles without having to change workplace. Your role as a nurse With us you work in a team with doctors, nursing assistants, and paramedics, supported by a senior nurse, in person-centered care with focus on quality, patient safety, and good collaboration. The work is characterized by: Acute and subacute care flows Quick care processes with focus on assessment, observation, and well-founded decisions Medical breadth and clinical assessments Clear team structure with shared responsibility for planning, implementation, and follow-up of care Depending on your experience and interests, there is an opportunity to work regularly in nearby operations such as Medical investigation, HIA, and IMA – always planned and structured.
