Night Shift Nurse Wanted for Temporary Position at Department 18, St. Göran's Hospital Psychiatry Northwest Department 18 is a general psychiatric inpatient care unit that belongs to the Psychiatry Northwest clinic. The department's primary focus is depression, anxiety, and personality disorders, but we also care for patients with other psychiatric and social issues. Comorbidity is common. We have 16 care beds, including one designated for voluntary admission. We accept patients aged 18 to 65 years. The department is centrally located in the St. Göran's Hospital area on Kungsholmen, with excellent access to public transportation. In this way, we create security and promote calm and safe interactions in both everyday and more acute situations. Duties: Regular duties of a licensed nurse in psychiatric inpatient care. You have overall responsibility for psychiatric and somatic nursing care and are expected to be able to prioritize and delegate tasks. You are ultimately responsible for medication management and nursing documentation. We use TakeCare as our electronic health record system. During night shifts, you work in a team with nursing assistants. There is always an on-call physician available by phone who, if needed, will come to the unit. You also have nurse colleagues to consult on neighboring units in the building, especially our sister unit, Department 16, which belongs to the same clinic and has the same psychiatric focus. Qualifications: You have Swedish nursing credentials and a genuine interest in psychiatric care. As a person, you are calm and stable, unpretentious, solution-focused, and work well collaboratively. Strong Swedish language skills, both spoken and written, are required. We would like to see that you have experience working in psychiatric care. Specialized competence in psychiatry is a merit but not required. Great importance is placed on personal suitability. Other Information: Start date is by agreement. This is a one-year temporary position with the possibility of extension. Selection and interviews are conducted on a rolling basis. We offer, among other things: Flexible working hours. For patient-facing work within Stockholm County Health Care Area: - background checks are applied before employment decisions according to SLSO's overarching guidelines for background checks in employment. - employees who will have patient contact must undergo a new employee health examination, according to applicable directives, which is conducted through occupational health services before employment. - in addition to Swedish professional credentials, good Swedish language skills equivalent to level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) are required.
