About the Role
In your role as Infrastructure Specialist, you are primarily responsible for planning, documenting, and visualizing changes in the fiber network to minimize disruptions and ensure high availability during maintenance and construction projects. In collaboration with the IT and Network unit, you drive overall network planning and ensure stable internal and external connections. Additionally, you serve as technical sales support where you develop customer-tailored solutions and support the organization with your fiber expertise. The work is highly varied and requires that you thrive with a good balance between technical and administrative tasks.
The role will also include:
Driving assignments and smaller projects, such as customer deliveries, fiber network maintenance measures, and transmission network rebuilds that impact the fiber network.
Documenting changes in the fiber network in our support systems.
Inventorying and conducting inspections of fiber installations in the field.
Implementing improvement activities within your area of responsibility, both of a technical and process-oriented nature.
You will have the opportunity to deepen your technical knowledge of fiber and long-distance network planning. You will also have the opportunity to develop and influence fiber network planning at large, both in the short and long term. You also have the opportunity to participate in the development and creation of a new support system for documentation and planning of fiber networks.
As an Infrastructure Specialist, you will be part of the Fiber and Construction Projects unit. The unit consists of about twenty employees responsible for fiber and IT delivery in construction projects and participating in the management and development of Svenska kraftnät's socially critical fiber network. The unit is also responsible for our external telecom business where we lease fiber to external parties.
The unit is now expanding as Svenska kraftnät's mission grows in scope and complexity, and we are looking for you who want to be part of developing and improving our operations. The unit is part of the IT for Network and Construction department, which supports the NETWORK division with the IT solutions needed for the management, expansion, and reconstruction of the transmission network for electricity.

Education:
You have a degree in fiber/data/IT or equivalent competence acquired in another way that Svenska kraftnät considers equivalent.
You also have:
Several years of experience with independent work on long-distance fiber network planning.
Experience working with documentation systems for fiber networks.
At least three years of relevant work experience from practical work with fiber networks, planning, splicing, or inspection.
Worked with planning of fiber network relocations and outage management.
Good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish and English.
Possession of a driver's license category B.
Meritorious:
Experience with the following fiber documentation systems: DP-COM and/or Connect Master.
Experience analyzing and evaluating final documentation of fiber networks through its measurement protocols and other documentation.
Several years of experience as a project manager for fiber network expansion.
Good to Know
The position is located in Sundbyberg.
Possibility of remote work up to 50%, if the work allows. #LI-hybrid.
Travel occurs approximately once a month in this role.
The position is a permanent employment.
