About the job
Development in the road vehicle sector is moving fast. Therefore, it's important that the regulations we have are up-to-date and functional, while we also need to stay ahead when it comes to future vehicle regulation – both short and long term.
As a national regulations coordinator, you will coordinate the unit's work within national regulation development, which often involves supporting employees in developing new regulations or implementing changes to existing ones. In this role, you will introduce new employees to the process, quality review materials for various decision points, and serve as a group leader for smaller regulatory work projects. You will be responsible for anchoring and following up on the unit's regulation development work, which includes regular check-ins with different functions about the status of ongoing work, as well as support for the unit's quarterly and annual follow-ups.
The role involves being a central hub for the unit's ongoing and upcoming national regulation development work, where you help keep both internal and external information updated. Your main focus will be as a national regulations coordinator for the development of vehicle technical rules.
The role requires the ability to drive and coordinate several different assignments simultaneously, where we see that you can both initiate and lead collaborations, and have good dialogue with multiple specialists and functions within our subject areas. You will also
quality review materials together with the legal function before initiation, referral, and decision of regulations
monitor developments in the vehicle regulations area
compile feedback during internal referral of new procedures, processes, or other documentation related to regulatory work
coordinate the unit's need for submissions
serve as process leader for the unit regarding the regulation development process
coordinate the unit's work on updating the unit's and department's rules of procedure
You must have
a relevant academic degree or other equivalent knowledge/experience that we consider equivalent (preferably with a legal and/or technical focus)
several years of experience leading processes and coordinating work
experience with regulation development work, primarily regulations
very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
It is meritorious if you also have
experience with vehicle regulations development at the national level
experience/knowledge of regulations within the vehicle sector
experience as a project manager
current experience with similar tasks in a government agency

The employment is permanent with placement in Borlänge, Stockholm, or Gothenburg. Start date by agreement. We normally apply a probationary period. Employment with us may involve placement in a security class. A security clearance with background check according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may therefore be conducted. For some of our security-classified tasks, Swedish citizenship is required.
