The business climate has developed positively, new partnerships have been established, and the municipality has taken an increasingly clear position on issues related to growth, skills supply, and future establishments. As Business Development Manager, you will play a central role in this ongoing work. You are responsible for business development, tourism, visitor economy, and place branding, while also leading a dedicated team and working closely with municipal leadership. The role involves many contact points and a high degree of collaboration. You will meet local entrepreneurs, major employers, government agencies, regional players, and partners who all have an important role in Arboga's development. This is about creating relationships, identifying opportunities, and turning ideas into concrete results. An important part of the role is also to represent Arboga in various collaborative forums and development initiatives. The municipality is, among other things, an active participant in the Swedish Security Corridor, where municipalities, authorities, and the business sector work together to strengthen development related to the defense industry and future skills supply. You will lead a team of four employees who together work to create an attractive Arboga. To succeed in this role, we believe you have: Academic education in a relevant field or comparable experience Experience in business development and place development Experience as a manager and leading others Ability to work in a complex organization with many contact points Experience driving projects A holistic perspective and a desire to contribute to organizational development Strong communication skills and experience building relationships Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written. It is advantageous if you have experience from public sector operations, change management, or work in a management group.
