The area serves as winter reindeer herding land for two Sámi herding communities. Åsele Municipality (Sjeltien tjïelte in South Sámi) is a Sámi administrative area and knowledge of Sámi is a merit within certain professions. Business Development Manager sought for Åsele Job Responsibilities As Business Development Manager in Åsele, you have a central role in leading and developing the municipality's business development work with clear local anchoring. The assignment involves creating favorable conditions for entrepreneurship through dialogue, collaboration, and development work. You work closely with the local business community and have a special responsibility for capturing the perspective, strengths, and challenges of businesses and bringing these into municipal and regional contexts where business issues might otherwise be overlooked. The work encompasses both strategic and operational aspects, and takes place within the framework of Åsele Business Foundation in close cooperation with Åsele Municipality. Examples of work tasks: · Lead and develop local business development work with focus on business climate, dialogue, and long-term development · Contribute to companies' development conditions by highlighting opportunities such as investment support, training, and relevant contact pathways · Participate in regional development work together with colleagues within Region 10 and in collaboration with Region Västerbotten The role involves formal management responsibility. Qualifications We are looking for you who want to work with business development in a smaller setting where relationships, trust, and local knowledge are decisive. We place great emphasis on personal qualities and approach and confidence in taking responsibility. We would like to see that you: · Have experience in development work and business development matters · Can work independently, but value collaboration and collegial work · Have good IT skills and work seamlessly in digital work environments. Experience with Microsoft 365 is a merit · Have basic financial competence and are comfortable working with budgets, follow-up, and financial responsibility · Formal education in a relevant field is a merit Scope Permanent employment, full-time. Six-month probationary period applies. Start date by agreement. Selection process and interviews take place continuously during the application period Salary Salary by agreement. Other The position is location-based in Åsele. Local presence and work close to the community is seen as a prerequisite for the assignment. The work requires some evening work.
