Your mission will be to lead the organization into the future of health and medical care. Närakut Handen is one of six urgent care centers within SLSO. Here you will join a welcoming workplace with high patient volume and many competent staff members. The urgent care center employs specialist physicians, medical secretaries, nurses, nurse assistants, plaster technicians, and staffing assistants. You will be the direct manager for approximately 30 employees. Our hours are 8–22, the clinic operates on a walk-in basis, and we work interprofessionally in teams. Our operations are based on emergency healthcare, which means great variety in different patient groups. We also have an important and extensive educational mission, mentoring students who may later become our colleagues. Närakuten has well-developed collaboration with emergency hospitals, prehospital units, and 1177. Job Responsibilities As a manager of an urgent care center, your role includes planning, leadership, development, and follow-up of operations. The manager has overall responsibility for the urgent care center's results regarding operations, finances, staff, and quality matters. You will be part of Närakuter SLSO's management group and report directly to the head of the operational area. You will lead the local management group at Närakut Handen, consisting of an assistant unit manager and a medical director (MLA). Qualifications The formal requirement is a university degree in health and medical care or equivalent education. We want you to have experience within the health and medical care field. We believe previous management and leadership experience would be a significant asset in this role. Experience and knowledge in process and improvement work is a merit. Personal Qualities You have a strong ability to coach and lead highly competent staff. You communicate easily, have a holistic perspective, are organized, thorough, and have a good ability to create a good work climate that promotes engagement and participation among your employees. You are results-oriented and achieve set goals. Your knowledge of finances and business development is strong, and you have the ability to manage operations within given parameters. As a manager and member of the leadership team, you need to have analytical and strategic thinking, and be able to see long-term and cross-boundary solutions to the challenges we face. We place great importance on personal suitability. Employment Terms Permanent employment with management assignment The position is filled on the condition that it is not needed for internal reassignment, according to applicable regulations. For patient-facing work within Stockholm County's healthcare region: - a background check will be conducted before an employment decision is made according to SLSO's overall guidelines for background checks in hiring. - employees who will have patient contact must undergo a new hire medical examination, according to applicable directives, which takes place through occupational health services before employment. - in addition to a Swedish professional license, good knowledge of the Swedish language is required at level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR).
