We are now seeking a committee secretary for a varied and meaningful role where administration, service, and coordination come together. Who are we? The Care and Services Office's main mission is to provide good care and support to residents in Norrköping Municipality. Within the scope of the office's operations are special housing facilities, home care services, home healthcare, authority functions, and the municipality's food service operations. With approximately 3,000 employees, we are the municipality's second largest office. Together, we create a meaningful and secure everyday life for everyone who needs our help. As a committee secretary, you will be part of the HR and Management Support unit. Here you will join a competent and engaged team consisting of two committee secretaries, a registrar, an archivist, an archive assistant, and a strategist. Together, we work closely with office management and elected officials to ensure efficient, lawful, and well-functioning processes. We offer a role with great variety and many points of contact. The role will be particularly interesting during the upcoming election year when you will help create good conditions for the democratic process, including supporting training for elected officials. Your tasks As a committee secretary, you have a central and coordinating function and are an important part of the Care and Services Committee's work and the office's operations. Your role is crucial to ensuring that committee administration is conducted lawfully, in a structured manner, and efficiently. The work involves preparing cases for the committee and board, quality-assuring decision-making documents, and ensuring that cases are handled correctly throughout the process. You plan and administer committee meetings, are responsible for meeting logistics, documentation and minutes, and ensure that decisions are dispatched and followed up correctly. You may also support the registry office as needed and help ensure lawful and efficient case and document management. In the role, you provide support and service to elected officials, managers, and staff on matters relating to the committee process. You also work with individual cases, the Municipal Pensioners' Council (KPR), and office cooperation. During the election year, you will also have an important role in introducing and training elected officials. The role is characterized by a broad network of contacts and many parallel and complex processes. You will be a natural coordinator who ensures that both details and the big picture work and that the right things happen at the right time. Who are you? We are looking for someone with relevant academic education in, for example, public administration, political science, law, or other education that the employer deems equivalent. You have experience working in a politically governed organization, committee administration, or public administration. You express yourself very well in speaking and writing in Swedish and feel confident working with digital systems and administrative processes. You have good knowledge of the Swedish Municipal Law, Administrative Law, and legislation on public access to information and confidentiality. As a person, you are reliable, responsible, and self-directed. You take your own initiative, keep commitments, and know when collaboration is the best way forward. You work in a structured manner and find it easy to plan and prioritize even when multiple processes are running simultaneously. With a quality-conscious approach, you deliver thoroughly, lawfully, and with high precision. The role involves many points of contact, so you are someone who builds good relationships through a responsive, professional, and service-oriented approach. You cooperate well and contribute to a good collaborative climate. To succeed in the role, you understand the politically governed organization's mission and decision-making processes. You see the bigger picture, understand the context of the operations, and adapt your work based on the organization's goals and conditions.
