Substitute Family Care Specialist (M/F)

Job Responsibilities: - Maintaining records of persons who can provide temporary foster care, conducting professional assessments of children for substitute family care placement purposes, and managing the advisory board for substitute family care placement. - Making decisions regarding the inclusion of applicants in the registry of persons who can provide temporary foster care and their removal from this registry. - Providing methodological guidance and coordination of social and legal child protection activities (including development of methodologies, positions, and procedural guidelines; organizing and conducting methodological meetings for child protection authorities). - Conducting oversight of delegated responsibilities in child social and legal protection in the South Bohemian Region. - Providing advisory assistance to persons interested in becoming adoptive parents or foster parents (including arranging consultations on foster care implementation for caregivers). Required Knowledge: Act No. 359/1999 Coll., on Social and Legal Protection of Children (including the amendment effective as of July 1, 2025), Act No. 500/2004 Coll., Administrative Code, Act No. 255/2012 Coll., Inspection Code, Act No. 109/2022 Coll., on the Performance of Institutional or Protective Education. Education Requirements: Higher education in study programs focused on social work, social policy, social pedagogy, social care, social pathology, law, or special education; post-secondary vocational education in fields focused on social work and social pedagogy, social work, social and humanitarian work, social legal activities, charitable and social work. Additional Requirements and Knowledge: Experience in child social and legal protection (advantageous). Work experience in the required field (advantageous). Category B driving license (required).
