At Mölndal Municipality, we are proud to have Sweden's most important work where we together create the best possible daily life for our citizens. With knowledge, courage, and creativity, we develop our operations and contribute to making Mölndal an even better place to live and work. Welcome to make a difference in people's everyday lives every day!
Mölndals Kulturskola is a creative organization at the forefront that meets approximately 1,700 children in music, dance, theater, visual arts and design, and film. We have a well-developed choir and orchestra program and extensive collaboration with schools and preschools. We want to be a meeting place where children and young people's cultural practices develop and gain visibility and a place in the city's cultural life. Therefore, performance activities are an integral part of students' education. Our staff consists of approximately 60 teachers plus management and administrative personnel.
We provide schools in Mölndal with qualified music teachers for primary school and adapted primary school. Through central coordination of many schools' needs, we create positions, sometimes combined with teaching within the culture school's mission. Our 17 music teachers in class meet weekly in a professional development team focusing on teaching development, equitable instruction, and assessment.
We work strategically with school development through student participation and inquiry-based teaching. There we challenge our approaches and working methods to continuously develop meaningful activities. Culture school teachers work in different groups, teams, and contexts, both by subject, cross-artistically, and in various collaborations with organizations outside the culture school.
The Culture School's management is the hub of the city's Cultural Guarantee, which is a cross-administrative collaboration where all children ages 3-16 receive professional cultural experiences and activities with creative participation every year.
At Mölndal Municipality's school administration, we work every day to create the best conditions for children and students' development and lifelong learning. With approximately 2,000 committed employees and 12,000 children and students in our operations, we are Mölndal's largest administration - and a hub for the education of the future. Here you become part of a curious, courageous, and solution-focused organization where new thinking is encouraged and the child's best interests always come first.
