Subject Teacher Music
Josefinaskolan is beautifully situated between Märsta and Sigtuna. The school is operated as a foundation and is non-profit, accommodating approximately 200 students in grades F-9 with approximately 30 dedicated staff members who together contribute to an educational and safe school.
As a music teacher with us, you have a central role in the school's artistic and social life. You teach the subject by developing students' listening, ensemble playing and creativity.
Duties
We are seeking a music teacher to teach music in grades 5-9 approximately 60%. The position can be combined with other assignments with start in autumn 2026.
About Music Teaching
Music has a central role in the school's pedagogical whole and permeates both teaching and shared contexts.
Teaching is based on active participation where students develop their musicianship through singing, choir and ensemble playing. Practice rhythm, ear training, listening and ensemble playing. Work with acoustic instruments and various musical forms of expression. Encounter music as part of culture, history and community. Music is integrated into the school's traditions and contributes to creating meaning, context and participation.
Duties
As a music teacher in grades 5 to 9, you will teach music according to Lgr22 and A Path to Freedom. Plan, conduct and evaluate teaching. Lead students in singing, choir, rhythm and ensemble playing. Create a safe, structured and inspiring learning environment. Stimulate students' creativity, expression and collaboration skills. Contribute to the school's concerts, performances and traditions. Collaborate with colleagues, student welfare services and guardians.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who meets the school's qualification requirements:
Waldorf teacher education or ongoing education
State teacher education
Subject and didactic competence through education, work experience and courses.
Interest in further developing yourself within Waldorf pedagogy.

We are looking for someone who teaches with presence, structure and commitment. Is creative and creates musical joy and participation. Has safe and inclusive leadership. Enjoys close collaboration around students and classes and has a reflective and curious approach.
