The Education Department is responsible for preschools, after-school programs, elementary schools, secondary schools, and adapted elementary and secondary schools. We have over 3,200 employees at 40 preschools, 22 elementary schools, and four secondary schools. The Position and Your Responsibilities
As a teacher, you are an important part of helping Botkyrka Municipality become Sweden's best school municipality, where students succeed in school and develop according to their unique abilities.
In your role, you conduct instruction and related tasks such as preparation and follow-up work for lessons. You contribute through collegial collaboration to a good learning environment through active work in your team. Together, you keep student learning development in focus. You also collaborate with other staff at the school. You actively participate in the school's values-based work and work inclusively. You are committed to staying updated as a teacher in your subjects through environmental monitoring, professional development, and collegial learning. You are expected to work formatively and with digital tools in your instruction.
What We Offer You
You will teach music in grades K-5. The work also includes organizing and leading the Lucia celebration and school closings.
We are looking for someone who is confident and clear in your leadership. You should have a strong ability to build good relationships with students and parents. You should want to collaborate closely with your colleagues at the school.
About You
Requirements:
Teacher certification in music
Good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing (language test will be conducted)
Merits:
Experience working as a teacher
ICT skills (Google)
Experience with V-Klass
As a person, you are interested in staying current and are at the forefront of your profession. You are relationship-building and results-oriented to address individual and organizational needs. You also need to be organized to conduct high-quality instruction.
In addition to extracts from the conviction registry and suspicion registry, an extended background check will be conducted according to Botkyrka Municipality's policy.
A probationary period may apply. Recruitment is ongoing and the position may be filled before the announcement period ends, so do not delay in submitting your application.
The position is 40%, scheduled Monday and Tuesday. Start August 12.
