Falun Municipality's Children and Family Services Section consists of a reception unit, Children and Young People 1 and 2, Resource and Family Rights Unit, the open care unit Dialogen, BUBO which is the municipality's own residential care facility, and UBO which is the municipality's supported housing. At the reception unit, you will be part of a team consisting of 8 case officers and 1 team leader. From autumn 2026, we will be working according to a new structure where cooperation between the reception unit and the investigation unit will be further strengthened. For those new to us, regardless of experience, we offer a comprehensive introduction program. Our team leader, together with mentors, will guide you through your first year. You will also participate in various trainings as part of our career development initiative and will receive basic training in Signs of Safety. Our goal and ambition is that you should never have to stand alone in difficult or unfamiliar situations; social work is something we do together. Job Responsibilities Working as a reception secretary at the Children and Family Services Section means you are the first person children, young people, and families meet within social services. Your responsibilities include carrying out all steps in a pre-assessment based on the Social Services Act, and when necessary, working under the Act on Care of Young People (LVU). At the reception unit, we also write statements and sometimes shorter investigations. The work as a reception secretary is meaningful, varied, and developmental. Many of the people you meet are in difficult situations, and this places high demands on you. You respect people's differences and your moral compass shows that all people have equal value, the same right to influence their situation, and the same right to help and support. Qualifications The role requires Sociology degree (Socionomexamen) Experience with social services' authority work with children and young people for at least six months Good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both verbally and in writing Personal Qualities We are looking for someone who is communicative, organized, empathetic, and solution-focused in your approach. You have a strong ability to build trust through a responsive and present manner, both in meetings with children and families and in cooperation with colleagues and other stakeholders. As a person, you are secure and self-confident with basic emotional stability. You enjoy working both independently and in a team, where collaboration and shared responsibility are a natural part of everyday life. The role requires that you can organize your work and make well-founded decisions, even in more complex situations. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability. Desirable Qualifications Training in BBIC and/or Signs of Safety Driver's license (category B) Multilingualism Employment Terms The recruitment is for a permanent full-time position.
