Solar Panel Installer or Experienced Tradesperson – Join Our Installation Team Do you enjoy hands-on work and like to see the tangible results of what you do? aSolar is now seeking a solar panel installer or experienced tradesperson to join our installation team based in Alingsås. We're looking for someone with experience in solar panel installations or someone who has worked for several years in construction, roofing, carpentry, assembly, or similar practical trades. You don't necessarily need to have worked with solar panels before. If you have the right tradecraft background, we'll teach you our assembly systems, products, and work methods. This position suits you if you are meticulous, solution-oriented, and experienced in working with measurements, tools, and practical problem-solving. You should be able to look at a roof and work surface, plan how to best complete the work, and then execute the installation with high quality. Your Responsibilities As a solar panel installer, you will primarily work on the mechanical installation of solar panel systems on roofs. Your tasks will include: • Installing solar panels on various types of roofs. • Installing roof hooks, fasteners, mounting rails, and other installation materials. • Measuring and planning panel placement. • Checking measurements, spacing, and materials before and during installation. • Adapting the installation to the roof's and property's actual conditions. • Working from drawings, work plans, and installation instructions. • Ensuring the installation is straight, safe, and professionally executed. • Documenting completed work. • Collaborating with electricians, project managers, customers, and other installers. • Working according to current workplace safety and fall protection procedures. You will typically work together with a colleague as a two-person team. Once you've settled in, we'd like you to take on greater responsibility for practical execution and help plan and structure the workday. Who We're Looking For We're primarily seeking someone with solid practical experience. You may, for example, currently work or have previously worked as: • A solar panel installer. • A roofer. • A carpenter or woodworker. • A construction tradesperson. • An assembly technician or technical installer. • Another tradesperson with relevant practical experience. To us, your actual ability is more important than your exact previous job title. To Succeed in This Role, You Should • Have several years of experience in practical construction, building, or assembly work. • Be accustomed to measuring and calculating precisely. • Be able to use common hand tools and power tools. • Be able to understand drawings, measurements, and work plans. • Be practical-minded and able to solve problems that arise during work. • Be able to work independently and take responsibility for your work. • Be meticulous and have an eye for quality results. • Be comfortable with physical outdoor work and work at heights. • Be able to communicate in Swedish or English and understand work and safety instructions. • Have a B-class driver's license. • Be able to commute from Alingsås every workday. Experience with Solar Panels is a Plus If you have previously worked as a solar panel installer or with solar panel installation and assembly, that's highly advantageous. Experience with roofing, construction, fall protection, assembly work, or project management is also a plus. If, however, you have several years of experience as a carpenter or roofer and would like to learn solar panel assembly, we're interested in meeting you. We Believe You Are a Person Who Enjoys working practically and solving problems. You don't wait for someone else to discover that something is wrong—you react when, for example, a measurement, placement, or work plan doesn't seem right. You also understand that a good installation shouldn't just function—it should look professional. You'd rather measure twice than leave behind crooked rails or panels. At the same time, you're efficient and understand the importance of keeping work moving forward. You can plan your work, collaborate with a colleague, and make independent decisions within your area of responsibility. What We Offer • Permanent full-time employment. • Salary of 32,000–36,000 kr per month depending on experience and competence. • Practical and varied work in solar energy. • Training and instruction in our assembly systems and work methods. • Working alongside a colleague in a small installation team. • Opportunity to develop and take on greater responsibility in installation work. Employment Details Employer: aSolar AB Position: Solar Panel Installer Work Location/Base: Alingsås Scope: Full-time Employment Type: Permanent Salary: 32,000–36,000 kr/month How to Apply We mainly want to know what you can actually do and have worked with. Send your CV and write a few short lines about: • What you work with today. • How many years of experience you have in trades, construction, or assembly. • If you have experience with solar panels or roofing. • What types of roofs and building projects you've worked on previously. • Where you live. • When you could start. Do you have the right practical background but are unsure if your experience fits? Apply anyway.
