As Assembly Leader for Temporary Bridges at Trafikverket, you will be part of facilitating daily life for residents and businesses throughout Sweden. You do this by contributing to Sweden's future infrastructure. Work Tasks This assembly leader role belongs to the Vehicle Resources business area. We are a small results unit with substantial resources in an expansive phase, playing an important part in building up Total Defense, particularly civil defense, where we prepare ourselves to meet both foreseen and unforeseen events with the goal of keeping Sweden connected by ensuring that roads, railways, aviation, and maritime transport function through various societal disruptions. As an assembly leader, you are a practitioner with high technical expertise who readily pitches in whenever and wherever needed. The role is highly varied and at times very physically demanding, which requires you to be in good physical condition. You have the ability to see both details and the bigger picture in the operation. You will have increased responsibility for specific bridge components/materials where you maintain order, conduct inventories, and perform maintenance. You must be able to lead others both in material handling and during assignments or bridge assembly. The role also includes collaborating with the logistics manager or depot personnel regarding resource and transportation needs. You will lead personnel, both internally and externally. You will work to ensure workplace safety and perform self-inspections during bridge assembly, followed by scheduled follow-up inspections. In most cases, you will lead others who have bridge expertise, but you must also be able to lead and train personnel with no bridge experience, which is why high pedagogical ability is important. You should be able to find safe solutions rather than see limitations. When you start this role, you will receive internal training in bridge assembly. When a bridge construction project starts, you will receive a method description explaining the bridge assembly process. It is important that you work with precision and attention based on drawings and construction documents. The role includes work at both our depots and other locations. Over week-long periods throughout the year, you will be out in the field on various assignments, both supporting Trafikverket primarily and society secondarily, as well as supporting colleagues in other regions across the country. We work nationwide with assignments, inventory management, and bridge assembly. As an operational resource within Vehicle Resources, you ensure that our equipment, vehicles, and materials maintain high quality and are ready for deployment. Work includes Bandvagns, power generators, protective equipment, supplies, and heavy vehicles and machinery. My name is Örjan Sjölund, and I will be your immediate supervisor. We Are Looking for You If You Have high school diploma with technical focus or higher education in construction or other educational combination with experience we consider comparable previous experience with bridge construction experience in a supervisory role where you have had responsibility for and led personnel familiarity with reading drawings, measuring angles, heights, and slopes experience working in various computer systems, including MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word Class B driver's license for manual transmission vehicles strong Swedish language skills, both spoken and written It Is Advantageous If You Have knowledge and practical experience in geotechnics experience producing drawing documentation Class C/CE driver's license operator certificate for loading machinery and forklift yearslong certificate for truck-mounted crane over 18 ton-meters experience developing activity, time, and resource plans Other Information Please attach an updated CV as it will form the basis for the selection in this process. The position will undergo security vetting without classification in a security class. Employment requires a passing result in the security vetting, conducted according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585).
