State Plant Protection Service announces a competition for the position of Expert in Molecular Biology at the National Phytosanitary Laboratory of the Plant Quarantine Department If you are interested in working in a dynamic environment in the agricultural sector at an internationally recognized agronomy service with an intensive work pace, we may be waiting for you in our team! We expect you to have: higher education in agriculture or natural sciences, or be a final year student; desired relevant work experience in a molecular biology laboratory; knowledge and experience with molecular biology methods; desired English language knowledge for work with international standards and participation in European Commission and European Food Safety Authority working groups; good computer skills; ability to work independently, make decisions within your authority and take responsibility. We will entrust you with: performing quarantine and non-quarantine organism diagnostics using polymerase chain reaction (PCR) and real-time polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) methods; ensuring quality laboratory data processing and documentation of diagnostic results; following the latest scientific publications and technology development in molecular biology and, assessing their suitability, implementing them in practical work.
