Language Center is Strängnäs Municipality's unit for native language instruction and study guidance. Language Center works with newly arrived students with a language background other than Swedish, as well as Swedish-speaking children who have attended school abroad and will be entering Strängnäs Municipality's education system. We view native language instruction and study guidance as a very important part of students' language development and academic achievement. We are now seeking a native language teacher in Hungarian. Work takes place during daytime hours. 1 position(s). JOB RESPONSIBILITIES You will teach in your native language. Job responsibilities include lesson planning and instruction, follow-up, evaluation, contact with guardians, and grading. You will provide students with the guidance and stimulation they need in their learning and personal development based on their individual circumstances. You will work approximately 3 hours per week, though this may change over the term. QUALIFICATIONS We are seeking someone who has/is: • qualified as a native language teacher in Hungarian or a certified teacher. • strong knowledge, both spoken and written, of the native language Hungarian. • strong knowledge, both spoken and written, of Swedish. It is also advantageous if you have: • previous experience in native language instruction • a Class B driver's license, as the position may involve travel between schools within the municipality. Great weight will be placed on personal suitability. You interact well with students individually and in groups, and you are flexible and responsive to others' needs.
