We are now recruiting a Kannada mother tongue teacher at 11% for the Mother Tongue Unit in Södertälje Municipality. Your work tasks Your assignment is to support and teach multilingual children/students in their mother tongue in all school activities from preschool to upper secondary school, as well as to provide study guidance for newly arrived students in the school's various subjects in all school forms. The work will be distributed across different preschools and schools in the municipality, in close collaboration with preschool and school management, educators and teachers. The Mother Tongue Unit actively works to support children and students in their learning. Together with other mother tongue teachers, you will drive and develop the activities based on our governing documents and the objectives in the curriculum and course plan. Who are you? Requirements: - We are looking for someone who has Swedish teacher certification and is qualified to teach the subject mother tongue. - Have experience in study guidance in mother tongue in all school forms and have Kannada as your mother tongue. - Have experience in mapping newly arrived students using the National Agency for Education's mapping materials. - Have knowledge and experience in assessing students in preschool class using the National Agency for Education's mapping material "Find the Language". - Have very good knowledge of the Swedish language in speech and writing. Personal qualities: - As a person, you are well-organized, have good social skills, and find it easy to make contact and collaborate with both students, colleagues and guardians. - You are independent, confident, creative, solution-focused and committed. - You dare to challenge "traditional" teaching, think innovatively and can implement your ideas in practice. Meritorious: - Have good knowledge in mathematics, social studies and natural sciences. - Have a category B driver's license and access to your own car.
