Job Responsibilities As a native language teacher, you instruct children and young people in one or more of the requested languages as their native language. Teaching takes place outside regular school hours, in the afternoons at one of the municipality's schools. Your job responsibilities: • Plan and conduct instruction according to the curriculum in the native language subject • Assess students' knowledge against learning objectives for the native language subject • Work and document in our management systems About the Operation The Native Language Unit has a central location with good communications and proximity to both activities and services. Here we work together to give students the opportunity to develop their native language and strengthen their knowledge and identity. We continuously work to develop instruction and adapt our operations according to student needs and current conditions. Right now we are in an exciting development phase where we focus on collaboration, quality in instruction, and creating good conditions for our employees and students. Qualifications We are looking for you who: • Have one of the following languages as your native language: German, Hungarian, and/or English • Express yourself well in Swedish in speech and writing • Have post-secondary education • Have experience with bilingual instruction • Are well familiar with governing documents that apply to instruction and can translate these into meaningful learning As a person, you are responsible, structured, have a holistic perspective, and demonstrate professional conduct. With commitment and the ability to work independently and in groups, you find solutions to offer instruction for all your students under the given conditions. Teacher certification is a merit Additional Information In Nykvarns Municipality, individual and differentiated salary setting is applied. Nykvarns Municipality is a Finnish administrative area, and we consider it a merit if you speak Finnish.
