The Education Department is responsible for all activities within the municipality's preschools, primary schools, adapted primary school, after-school centers, upper secondary school, and adult education. The Multicultural Unit is responsible for native language instruction and study guidance for newly arrived students in Sigtuna and Knivsta municipalities. In our activities, we place the student at the center with a focus on strengthening the student's identity through their native language and promoting the student's knowledge development. In our activities, we work to create a safe and open atmosphere where everyone dares to speak their mind, put forward their ideas, and try new ideas. WORK DUTIES Your work will include planning, conducting, and assessing students based on the curriculum in native language for primary school and the curriculum in native language for adapted primary school. The instruction will be conducted with one student in grade 9 and one student in adapted primary school in Sigtuna Municipality. The position is scheduled for one afternoon per week. QUALIFICATIONS We're looking for you with work experience as a native language teacher. If you have teacher training or other pedagogical education, we see that as a major plus. The same applies if you have education in languages. You should be well grounded in Lgr 22 and be able to work with digital tools in teaching to promote learning. As a person, you are positive, engaged, and want to contribute to good language development in our students. You enjoy working with children and young people and can build good relationships with both students and their parents. You can work independently but also work in close collaboration with others. You are a confident adult, have good communication skills, and want to develop yourself in your teaching role. It is also an advantage to have a category B driver's license and access to your own car, as the position involves travel between different schools and workplaces.
