Your Assignment In your role as a mother tongue teacher, you will teach primary and secondary school students whose mother tongue is Amharic. You are responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating instruction based on the curriculum. You use digital tools and adapt instruction according to students' needs, interests, and circumstances. You follow up, assess, grade, and document students' language development. The role also includes attendance reporting, dialogue with guardians, and where needed, study guidance for newly arrived students. As a teacher at the Mother Tongue Unit in Nacka, you are itinerant and work at several different schools in the municipality. You manage and take responsibility for your own time and tasks. Remote or distance instruction is not applicable. Your Experience For this position, you must have: - Teacher certification with subject qualification as a mother tongue teacher in Amharic - Amharic as your mother tongue - Good knowledge and understanding of the curriculum's values and knowledge perspective - Good digital competence with experience using digital pedagogical tools - Good ability to express yourself in Swedish both orally and in writing It is advantageous if you also have: - Knowledge of the course plan in mother tongue - Experience with and knowledge of pedagogical planning, assessment, and grading in the mother tongue subject - Experience teaching students and adapting instruction based on different ages and knowledge levels in the mother tongue subject Are You the Right Fit?
