About the Position
The role of environmental caretaker is part of our Environmental Caretaker Program and is a time-limited employment contract of up to 18 months. In this role, you will be part of a team that primarily works with supervision and maintenance of and around the properties. This means you and your team are responsible for keeping common areas clean and neat. The role requires you to be social and service-minded to maintain good relationships with tenants, suppliers, and subcontractors.
Your responsibilities will include:
Exterior maintenance and cleaning of courtyard areas
Caring for the property's common areas such as waste management, stairwells, basements, and laundry rooms
Supervision of and around the properties—ensuring everything is clean and neat
Minor repairs of seating areas, playgrounds, garages, and parking areas
Your Profile
To be a suitable candidate for this position, you must hold a B driver's license and we would prefer if you are living at one of Victoriahem's properties. As a person, you are responsible, flexible, and self-driven in your daily work. You are good at building strong relationships, enjoy working outdoors, and are comfortable with physically demanding work at times. Experience and/or education in the field is a merit, but not a requirement. In this position, we highly value personality, motivation, and passion for the role.
