The waste management sector and the position of Environmental Investigator might be right for you! Job Responsibilities As an Environmental Investigator, you will support the Recycling business area and its waste facilities regarding environmental matters. A large part of the role is to support the sales team and maintain customer contact regarding technical questions related to different waste types such as excavated soil and combustible fractions. You will also conduct follow-ups against laws and permits and work closely with operations managers on this. The role includes informing and communicating both internally within the company and externally with various authorities. To a lesser extent, you will also participate in and lead smaller projects within areas such as environmental technology, treatment technology, and permit matters. In recent years, there has been significant focus on various water-related issues, but assignments concerning soil contamination, classification, and mass handling are also recurring in the role. The Environmental Investigator position is part of the Environment and Investigation unit, which is a support unit within the Recycling business area. Currently, there are four environmental investigators in the unit who work broadly and support Renova's various treatment facilities such as landfills, sorting plants, and recycling centers in the areas of environment and environmental legislation. The position is based at our pleasant facilities in Sävenäs with close cooperation with our facilities in the Gothenburg area. Qualifications University or higher education degree in environmental science, environmental engineering, or equivalent. Knowledge of environmental and waste legislation is important for the role. Relevant work experience from the environmental field is required. The work involves contacts with various authorities, so you must be able to communicate very well in Swedish in both speech and writing. Driver's license (Category B) is required. Experience from the waste management industry and work with contaminated areas is advantageous. As a person, you have a positive outlook and find it easy to work both independently and in a group, and you have good communication skills. To thrive in the role, you are thorough, analytical, and responsible. Other qualities that are valued are being customer-focused and flexible. You are also structured and goal-oriented. Great importance is placed on personal qualities. Of course, you have a strong interest in environmental issues!
