Community Development provides the conditions for a sustainable society in change and contributes to ensuring that all residents and active individuals in Nybro Municipality can live a good life.
We create plans for the future Nybro, manage the municipality's land and facility provisions, make maps, issue building permits, plan and build the city's traffic environment, manage parks and green spaces, operate leisure and sports facilities, ensure good housing environments, clean facilities and prepare food and much, much more.
We also provide advice and support to people and businesses so they can do the right thing, and therefore we conduct supervision in areas such as environmental, food, building, and traffic matters. We are a team with mixed ages and different experiences. The work tasks are varied and we work largely with our own responsibility.
Environmental and Building Operations work with consulting, service, supervision, and authority functions in areas including building permits, housing adaptations, environmental and health protection, food inspection, alcohol, tobacco, and pharmaceutical inspections, and lottery licenses.

WORK DUTIES
Your main work tasks are to perform environmental and health protection supervision, for example on environmentally hazardous activities, contaminated land, and individual sewage systems. The work tasks may be adapted based on your competence and experience as well as the operation's needs. The work also includes handling and investigating various types of incoming matters as well as providing information and advice to businesses and the public. The work includes report writing, follow-up, and planning.
We use EDP Vision Environment case management system to support the operation.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone with higher education in environmental and health protection supervision or equivalent education. For you to thrive with us, we believe you are cooperative, open to working with multiple areas, helpful, and take initiative. You see the operation's development opportunities and have good service awareness for our residents.
We would like to see that you have previous experience with supervision, case handling, and complaint management based on the Environmental Code. You have knowledge of working in a politically governed organization and what service-oriented authority functions mean.
A Class B driver's license is required.
Salary form: Monthly salary.
Type of employment: Fixed-term employment.
Duration: 6 months or longer, start date: Start date by agreement, expires: 2027-12-31.
Working hours: Daytime.
