WORK DUTIES Environmental Inspector at the Environment and Community Development Administration Do you want to work with issues that make a real difference for people's health and living environment? We are now seeking an engaged and solution-oriented environmental inspector who wants to contribute to a safe, sustainable, and healthy municipality. With us you get varied and meaningful work where you combine regulatory authority with advisory services and contact with people. About the Position As an environmental inspector, you work with supervision and administration according to environmental law, with a special focus on small wastewater systems. You have an important role in contact with property owners and residents and contribute with both guidance and regulatory authority. We therefore see it as important that you have experience of working in this area. Your work duties include, among other things: • Planning, implementation, and follow-up of inventory projects • Handling of applications for small wastewater systems, supervisory matters, and complaints • Field inspections • Advisory services and information to property owners and the public • Written documentation and writing decisions • Responding to building permit referrals • Quality work through, for example, template and routine work You plan your work to a large extent yourself, but work is carried out both independently and together with colleagues on the team. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for you who • Have higher education in environmental and health protection, environmental science, or other education that the employer considers equivalent, or alternatively have many years of experience with regulatory authority in municipal operations • Have good knowledge of environmental law and relevant legislation • Are structured, responsible, and have good communication skills • Enjoy working in a role where you combine regulatory authority with service and advisory services • See the value in and prioritize good cooperation with colleagues • Have very good computer and system skills; it is an advantage if you have experience working in the Castor system • Have digital engagement • Have a good ability to express yourself well in Swedish both orally and in writing • Have a class B driver's license • Have experience in municipal supervision or work in public service.
