As an inspector, you work both independently and in a team, which means you should be good at collaborating with your colleagues and be able to lead your own projects.
We are now looking for an experienced environmental inspector specializing in environmental protection. The environmental protection group currently consists of ten people. Your main tasks will be to oversee contaminated sites and mass handling, development control, infrastructure oversight, and Class B facilities. You will also respond to urgent matters such as environmental accidents - we all help each other here. The tasks can be adapted based on your previous experience and the organization's needs. At our workplace, everyone participates in planning and everyone gets to choose which issues they want to work on.
You will draft documents and decision materials and independently make decisions within your delegation. As an inspector, you may represent the authority in various collaboration groups. You will also contribute to fulfilling the department's inspection plan with promised processing times. You will be involved in the department's quality work. We use Ecos 2 as our case management system.
QUALIFICATIONS
University-educated environmental inspector or other equivalent university education. Documented knowledge of environmental legislation is a requirement. You need to have a Class B driving license.
We would like you to have several years of experience working with issues concerning contaminated sites.
We believe you have good ability to plan, work independently, and base decisions on good judgment and sound legal practice. You should be organized and service-oriented. Inspection work requires good ability to express yourself well in speech and writing. Since it is important to build good relationships, your personal qualities are important to us. Good knowledge of the Office suite is required.
