The Environmental and Health Protection Unit is now seeking an engaged and driven employee to work with environmental protection! A typical workday with us includes many varied tasks. You will conduct inspection visits at facilities that may pose a potential health or environmental hazard. This could include contaminated areas, automotive operations, and permit-required activities such as larger waste sorting facilities or surface treatment companies. Work tasks may vary throughout the year, and you will also handle incoming reports, applications, and complaints, among other things. You will write decisions and have frequent contact with customers and businesses. In our activity-based office, creativity is fostered and you work closely with your colleagues in both inspections and improvement and change work. We also actively work against welfare crime, and this should be considered in all inspections we conduct. We have tons of benefits! The person we seek is attentive, dares to think new, and challenges our operational routines in a constructive way. You will independently inspect various facilities to see if there are deficiencies that could negatively affect people's health or the environment. You make your assessments with support from the Environmental Code and other relevant laws and regulations. You collaborate with your colleagues by discussing deficiencies and possible solutions in various matters. You also have frequent contact with private individuals, authorities, and companies, which requires a genuine interest in building good social relationships and providing good service. We also place great emphasis on your personal qualities and that you contribute to good social interaction. We would prefer that you have experience as an environmental inspector that reflects modern, current professional practice. To get the position, you must have the following qualifications: Education; you should have education in the environmental and health protection inspector field or similar (such as environmental scientist) that is considered relevant for the profession and current knowledge in the area. Language skills; be able to write and speak fluently in easy-to-understand and correct Swedish. The language should be easy to understand and you should provide the recipient with accessible information that is legally sound and clear.
