The Community Development Administration offers creative dialogue, a fast pace, solution-focused approaches, and gives you the opportunity to drive and participate in evolving community development processes. We are a collaborative administration between Hällefors, Lindesberg, Ljusnarsberg, and Nora municipalities with a broad mandate within the municipalities' community development processes. The administration consists of two main operational areas: technical operations, and building and environment. We are now expanding the environmental protection team with an environmental inspector. 1 position(s). JOB RESPONSIBILITIES As an environmental inspector in the environmental protection team, you work with the supervision of environmentally hazardous activities and contribute to protecting both the environment and public health. The assignment involves planning, conducting, and following up on supervision matters according to the Environmental Code, with a focus on legal certainty, quality, and dialogue. The role includes conducting inspections, assessing whether operations comply with applicable legislation, and documenting and making decisions. You communicate requirements and assessments in a clear and professional manner, both verbally and in writing, and follow up to ensure that decisions and measures are implemented. You also have an important advisory function where you guide business operators and answer questions from the public. The work is characterized by independent responsibility, while at the same time you are part of close collaboration with colleagues within the environmental protection team and other parts of the organization. Together you contribute to developing work methods, sharing experience, and ensuring effective supervision. QUALIFICATIONS You have relevant natural science higher education, such as environmental and health protection inspector or environmental scientist. We place great importance on personal qualities and your ability to contribute to good cooperation in the work group. It is meritorious if you have experience with similar tasks and good knowledge of the Environmental Code. To succeed in the role, you are comfortable making objective assessments, setting clear requirements, and making decisions with integrity. You have good communication skills and can build trusting relationships when meeting with both business operators and the public. You are flexible and easily adapt to different situations, while working in a structured manner and can plan and prioritize your work efficiently. You thrive in a role where you take your own responsibility and initiative, but also value collaboration and knowledge sharing with colleagues. You express yourself clearly in Swedish both verbally and in writing. A B driver's license is required. Employment type: Permanent employment. Duration: Permanent.
