We are looking for you who primarily wants to work with inspection, permitting, and processing of government grants and support in accordance with the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency's quality manual. This work also includes guiding municipal authorities through the grant process. Other tasks that may become relevant include work such as updating information in the EBH system (database for contaminated sites), inventory of contaminated sediments, and providing supervision guidance to the county's municipalities. You will also have an important role in various development and infrastructure projects as Stockholm County grows, where the group contributes information and expertise on issues relating to contaminated sites. The work involves close collaboration with other functions within the County Administrative Board, for example, lawyers and planning officers. Other tasks within the environmental department may also become relevant. Are you the person we are looking for? You should have: - A degree in natural sciences or engineering at university level, or another degree that we assess as relevant, - Excellent ability to express yourself well in Swedish speech and writing, - Experience working with contaminated sites at a municipal, county administrative, or consulting level. We are looking for someone who is unpretentious and has a good ability to be responsible and constructive with others. To succeed in your role, you also need to be organized and used to handling multiple tasks simultaneously. You are confident in yourself and in your professional role, and are accustomed to and comfortable with working independently. The versatility of the position requires that you have a good ability to create and maintain good relationships with colleagues, citizens, and other societal actors. As an employee at the County Administrative Board, you need to: - Have the ability to make decisions from a holistic perspective considering multiple viewpoints, - Understand that a central role for the County Administrative Board is to balance different interests, - Have the ability to prioritize and adapt to work with new tasks or in new contexts. Great weight will be placed on your personal qualities. It is an asset if you have: - Experience with supervision according to the Environmental Code chapters 9 and/or 10, - Experience with project-based economics, - Experience managing grant-financed investigation or remediation projects, - Experience reviewing liability investigations for contaminated sites, - Driver's license, class B. More about us and the role The position is located in the environmental department with approximately 130 employees. You will become part of the unit for soil and water protection that works with permitting, supervision, and supervision guidance within water activities, water protection areas, and contaminated sites. The team working with contaminated sites is a work group of ten people with broad expertise. We have an open work climate where we work both individually and collectively, but always with the opportunity for discussions and check-ins. Our office is centrally located in Stockholm. Possibility for remote work arrangements exists based on operational needs. How we recruit The position is permanent and begins with a six-month probationary period. As a permanent employee at the County Administrative Board in Stockholm County, you will be registered for civil defense placement based on total defense needs.
