Environment and Sustainability Environmental Controller Project Would you like to combine systematic environmental and development work with operational environmental work? We are now looking for an Environmental Controller to support our project operations. About the Position In your role as Environmental Controller Project, you will support our project organization in systematic and operational environmental work, including: • Support project managers and project engineers in ongoing projects on matters such as environmental assessments, contaminated land, species protection, exemptions, and permit matters • Develop control documents for environmental matters as part of the company's project model and management system • Direct, support, and follow up with environmental consultants and contractors • Identify, interpret, and follow up on regulatory requirements, and manage contacts with authorities The duties include both systematic development work, ongoing support in project implementation, and follow-up of ongoing and completed projects. The role includes work on developing procedures and environmental requirements, identifying environmental aspects/requirements, conducting environmental risk assessments, managing reporting from projects both internally and to authorities, etc. You will work closely with the project and maintenance department, environmental coordinators, and other environmental controllers at Uppsala Vatten. You are part of the Environment and Sustainability section, which has the mission to develop the company's sustainability work within the value chain, and you report to the company's Environment and Sustainability Manager. Your workplace is in our offices at Uppsala Business Park and there is some opportunity for remote work. Qualifications • Relevant university or college education and several years of documented experience in environmental matters. • Excellent knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written • Experience with notifications and permit matters under the Environmental Code • Experience working with contaminated land • Experience working with biodiversity and species protection within operations is meritorious • Experience with environmental work in construction and civil engineering is meritorious • Experience with environmental management systems is meritorious • Category B driver's license is a requirement We place great emphasis on your personal qualities and want you to share our common core values—we are responsive, forward-thinking, and curious—and apply them in your professional role. For this position, a security clearance will be conducted before employment. You must also be prepared to be placed in wartime preparedness within Uppsala Vatten and Waste's role in total defense.
