Job Description As an environmental worker at the municipality's recycling center on Telegatan, you will work in a safe manner to help residents care for the environment when they drop off and sort waste. The tasks at the recycling center include being available to customers during operating hours and overseeing the facility. The work is active as you are continuously available throughout the facility to provide service to customers and help them sort correctly. The work also includes transporting materials at our transfer station for garbage trucks. The current work team consists of 3 environmental workers and will be expanded to 4, who together are responsible for ensuring all tasks are completed during weekdays and weekends. Certain administrative work is included for ordering pickups of various waste fractions. The facilities also need various types of oversight and continuous cleaning. We meet our customers with commitment and a service-oriented attitude. To continuously improve operations and increase environmental benefits, ongoing changes occur that require continuous professional development. Qualifications We are looking for someone with a genuine interest in the environment who has completed upper secondary education. Previous experience in the waste management industry is an asset. A forklift operator's license and several years of experience are advantageous. You are accustomed to working independently but also have good collaboration skills. It is important that you communicate easily with both customers and colleagues, and that you are familiar with and comfortable using digital tools and systems. You are responsible, proactive, organized, and your work approach is characterized by thoroughness with high service standards. You are engaged and gladly present a positive face to the public for the municipality. We place great importance on your personal suitability.
