About the Job Verdis is responsible for collection and transport of household and food waste on Gotland, with Region Gotland as client and partner. We now need to strengthen the department with several positive and goal-oriented environmental workers with a C-class driver's license and YKB who can work full-time over the summer (May-September) when it's peak season on Gotland. As an environmental worker, you have a key role in the company. You are Verdis' face to the public and you become one of our everyday heroes who help keep Gotland clean. Together with your colleagues, you ensure that the waste management assignment is carried out in accordance with the company's procedures and our client's requirements. You report to the work supervisor. Your work tasks include, among other things: - Collection and transport of waste with rear-loading collection vehicles - Handling of vehicle computers and RFID equipment - Incident reporting - Daily maintenance/inspection of vehicles and equipment, and washing of these as needed - Submitting vehicles to workshop as needed Who Are You? We are looking for someone who: - Has a C-class driver's license with corresponding waste management certification (YKB) - Speaks and writes Swedish fluently It is a merit if you have: - Professional experience as a truck driver and knowledge of heavy vehicles - Previous experience with some form of waste collection - Good local knowledge This position is suitable for you if you enjoy dynamic work in a fast-paced environment and have good physical fitness. Other Information Start: May 2026. Employment form and scope: Fixed-term employment, full-time during May-September. Work hours: Monday to Friday, daytime between 06:00-15:00.
