This position is located in the Water, Environment and Climate unit. The unit has 18 employees who work on matters such as managing the county's water resources, coordinating environmental goals work in the county, contributing to reducing greenhouse gas emissions, and coordinating energy-related work.
The County Administrative Board leads and coordinates the implementation of energy and climate policy objectives at the regional level. The County Administrative Board's role in this area involves driving and participating in regional cooperation as well as working in a process-oriented manner, but also developing knowledge foundations and analyzing developments in the county. The County Administrative Board drives several projects in this area where we collaborate with other county administrative boards, Region Sörmland, and the Energy Office in Mälardalen.
The work is based on the regional energy and climate strategy. Connected to the strategy is also a recently adopted regional action plan for electrification. In addition, there are other strategic and operational documents that guide the direction of the County Administrative Board's work, including a regional action program for work with the national environmental quality objectives in the county.
Responsibilities
We are now seeking temporary reinforcement for the team working on environmental objectives as well as climate and energy issues.
As an Environment and Climate Strategist, you will have work tasks primarily related to implementing the regional energy and climate strategy. This could include, for example, structuring and planning the County Administrative Board's efforts related to implementing the regional energy and climate strategy as well as follow-up. Other work tasks within the environmental objectives and climate and energy group may also become relevant. You will work closely with your colleagues within the working group and have many contacts with stakeholders in the county.
Qualifications and Profile
You have:
University or college degree that the employer considers relevant, preferably with a focus on environment and climate strategy work
Category B driver's license
It is advantageous if you have experience with:
Strategic work on environmental and climate issues
Work in environment and climate at a county administrative board, other government agency, municipality, or region
Project or process management
We place great importance on your personal qualities. As a person, you are driven and have the ability to independently plan and structure your work. To be suitable for this role, you must also be thorough and analytical and be able to express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing.
About the Position
The employment is a fixed-term employment. Desired start date is September 1, 2026. The employment extends until January 31, 2027.
All positions at the County Administrative Board may be subject to security clearance and civil emergency planning depending on the nature of the assignment.
Salary range for this position: 39,000 - 45,000 kr/month
