Description As an Environmental and Health Protection Inspector in Arjeplog Municipality, you will work with supervision, licensing, advisory services, and information within the areas of the Environmental Code, primarily focusing on environmentally hazardous operations. Your focus can be adapted based on your knowledge or areas of interest. Your work will include providing advice and service to our citizens and stakeholders, as well as making decisions in administrative matters. We have broad delegation from the board. The work is varied and includes both office and field work. Qualifications We are looking for someone with an academic education in environmental and health protection, or another academic education that the employer considers equivalent. Experience with administrative work within environmental and health protection is advantageous. Experience with and good knowledge of current environmental legislation and its application is also advantageous. Work as an Environmental and Health Protection Inspector involves many contacts with people. Therefore, you need to be confident in your role, service-minded, and have a positive approach to the work and the people you meet. It is therefore important that you are comfortable in an outward-facing role and are able to express yourself well both verbally and in writing. You must have commitment to your tasks and the ability to independently plan, structure, and carry out your work. An important quality is the ability to balance administrative authority with a more advisory role. Customer service is important to us in achieving good results in the long term. We place great emphasis on personal suitability. You have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written. A driver's license (Class B) is required. If you have experience with EDP Vision as a case management system, that is a plus. Arjeplog Municipality has decided on a salary bonus for those hired in an occupation with a current labor shortage on a permanent position in Arjeplog Municipality, with an employment date after July 1, 2018. Environmental and Health Protection Inspector is currently an occupation with a labor shortage. To receive this bonus, you must be registered as a resident of Arjeplog Municipality during these 3 years. The salary bonus is paid when employment exceeds: 12 months with SEK 15,000, 24 months with SEK 22,500, and 36 months with SEK 30,000. You also have the opportunity to apply for a relocation bonus, which means that someone with appropriate education who gets a job in an occupation with a labor shortage and registers as a resident of Arjeplog can receive a bonus. Maximum SEK 30,000 after verified documentation. The bonus is proportional to your employment rate.
