The environmental unit has a total of 12 positions. Our employees are competent and service-oriented. The work is flexible with the opportunity to have an influence. Our task is to carry out supervision and handle cases within environmental and health protection, food and alcohol/tobacco. We want to perform our work in a professional manner. The environmental unit is part of the Community Development Department and also includes the Planning and Building Unit, the Rescue Service and the Geodata Unit.
Work Tasks
We are now seeking a new environmental inspector as one of our employees has moved on to new challenges. The position is mainly focused on handling and supervision within health protection but may also include a range of issues within the environmental and health protection field, for example alcohol and tobacco supervision and small sewage systems. We always try to adapt the position to interests and operational needs when possible.
We are looking for you who are passionate about environmental issues, curious and brave enough to take on new challenges, believe in development and continuous improvements, and realize that we need to work together to achieve more.
Qualifications
You are trained as an environmental inspector or have a degree from another higher education that can be considered equivalent. You have knowledge within the environmental field, are computer literate and can use Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Teams. You can communicate, both verbally and in writing, in Swedish. The work also requires you to have a driver's license for a personal car. Experience of having worked in a politically governed organization with environmental issues and authority enforcement is an advantage.
You have personal maturity, are stable and relationship-building, communicative and have good pedagogical insight. You are expected to be able to work independently and in a group and have good teamwork skills. You are organized and see service to residents as an important part of the work.
You have a good ability to plan and drive work processes forward.
