We are seeking an environmental and health protection inspector to work with processing heat pump permits. Supervision within the unit's other work areas such as PCB, hygienic operations, or dental care activities may also be part of the position. This is a fixed-term employment for 9 months with good opportunities for extension. Welcome to us In your role as inspector, you will work from the Environmental Administration's bright office on Kungsholmen, a few minutes' walk from central station. You will be part of the Chemicals and Health unit, which is part of the Environmental and Health Protection department. You will join a team of 18 colleagues of varying ages with broad experience. The Administration is a supervisory authority under the Environmental Code and a control authority under food legislation, and at the same time conducts broad and proactive work on the city's sustainability issues. We work with a wide range of issues, from investigations of food fraud and chemicals in indoor environments, to evaluation of air quality, traffic noise, and biodiversity in the city. In the Chemicals and Health unit, we work with both environmental and health protection supervision in several areas such as PCB, hygienic operations, solariums, chemicals, radon, public swimming pools, and more. You will have many contacts with permit applicants, various reviewing authorities, and heat pump companies. You will, for example, handle digital maps, soil contamination surveys, and statements from both applicants and neighbors. As an inspector, you will independently prepare decisions in our case management system ECOS2 and will also participate in one or more area groups that manage and develop assessment principles and procedures.
