About the role
As an environment and sustainability specialist, you will work to ensure that we comply with applicable environmental legislation and meet our sustainability goals. You will be responsible for both short-term and long-term planning and reporting of environmental activities, as well as driving the development of our environmental processes. The role requires close collaboration with various departments and an active presence in factory operations to effectively lead and implement changes.
Qualifications
To succeed in this role, the following qualifications are required:
Bachelor's degree in environmental science or equivalent field (mandatory).
At least 3 years of experience in the environment and sustainability field, preferably within the food industry or similar operations (mandatory).
Documented experience with ISO 14001 and compliance with environmental legislation (mandatory).
Very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written (mandatory).
Experience from the food industry, dairy, plant-based products, or chemical industry (desirable).
Key responsibilities
Your main tasks will include:
Responsible for monthly reporting on energy, environment and sustainability.
Develop and implement short-term and long-term environmental activities.
Conduct root cause analyses and environmental risk assessments of chemicals and raw materials.
Monitor the company's impact on the external environment and report operational disruptions to supervisory authorities as needed.
Responsible for follow-up of periodic inspections, supervision and audits.
Participate in the implementation of an energy management system according to ISO 50001.
Develop and disseminate knowledge about the company's environmental and energy management systems to employees.
