Your Responsibilities
Do you want to work on advancing sustainability and environmental matters in an exciting operation? We are now seeking an Environment and Sustainability Coordinator who wants to be a key person in the work toward a more sustainable future. In this role, you will work to ensure that environmental requirements and sustainability goals are met in our operations in Söderfors/Tierp. You will be an important link between different stakeholders and will be responsible for identifying, following up on, and monitoring the environmental impact of operations, as well as developing and implementing measures that reduce this impact throughout the process.
The work includes management of the environmental system, including environmental aspects, and driving and developing the environmental management system according to ISO 14001. You will also ensure that laws and regulations are followed and will be responsible for monitoring production permits from authorities. The role also involves tracking environmental and sustainability goals as well as preparing internal and external environmental and sustainability reports and statistical follow-ups.
In this role, you will have a central function in environmental work, where you will, among other things, review safety data sheets, drive risk analyses, and contribute to customer matters and improvement efforts. You report to the management group and are responsible for the Environmental Council in Söderfors.
Your Profile
To thrive in this role, we believe you are a curious and solution-oriented person with your own drive and an ability to see both the big picture and the opportunities in change. You are structured and analytical, while at the same time you have the energy and courage to drive the work forward in an independent way. Because the role involves many points of contact, it is important that you are communicative and have an easy way of engaging others in environmental and sustainability matters.
Perhaps you have worked with similar matters in another operation and now want to take the next step in a role where you get to make a real impact. We are looking for someone with good knowledge of environmental legislation, environmental management systems, and preferably experience from manufacturing industry. Experience with IFS business systems is meritorious, but not a requirement.
We would like you to have higher education in the environment, sustainable development, or equivalent experience. You have experience with and understanding of operational systems, particularly ISO 14001, as well as solid knowledge of environmental matters and the requirements and expectations placed by various stakeholders. You are a proficient user of the Office suite and speak Swedish and English fluently in both speech and writing.
