At the Swedish Migration Agency, we work with one of our time's major societal issues – migration. In total, we are about 6,000 people here, and we have an exceptionally important job! We are now seeking a migration case officer for the reception and return center in Vänersborg. The reception and return center is a new type of workplace. Here you work with issues that concern and engage in a dynamic environment characterized by meeting people and influenced by what happens in our world around us. It is also an environment characterized by continuous learning and participation, and through co-location we have better conditions to work closely together between the professions in the asylum process. We are also close to the asylum seeker by working where the asylum seeker lives. This allows us to work more efficiently and make it safer for the asylum seeker. What does a migration case officer do? As a migration case officer, you work with handling, investigating, deciding, and developing proposals for decisions in various types of cases. The decisions have legal effect for individuals and affect their right to benefits, rights, and obligations. Additionally, you work with administration where you manage files and documents that have been received or created in a case. In your role, you meet and have conversations with people who have a case with the Swedish Migration Agency and other stakeholders. The conversations can be about notifying decisions or informing about the Migration Agency's processes as well as guiding and providing service. You identify and handle any special needs of individuals and, where applicable, you conduct conversations with adults and children in vulnerable situations. Who are you? We are looking for someone who has good collaboration skills, is attentive and constructive in your manner. You are service-oriented and have interest, willingness, and ability to help others and strive to deliver solutions. We are also looking for someone who is clear in your communication, ensures that messages get through and that expectations are clear for all parties involved. Furthermore, you are organized and can independently plan and organize your work efficiently toward set goals and deadlines. You are flexible and easily adapt and change your perspective and approach when circumstances change. You are also good at seeing the bigger picture and taking into account the larger perspective as well as the entire organization's best interests in your actions and decisions. In our work as civil servants, there are also high demands on judgment and strong security and confidentiality awareness.
