We are seeking several migration assistants for two of our administrative units, Administrative Unit 2 and Citizenship Unit 6, located in Göteborg. As a migration assistant in one of our administrative units, you will work in a varied capacity and provide administrative support for case processing. These administrative tasks may include, for example, handling and registering incoming documents to the agency, managing the disclosure of public records, and answering general inquiries. In your role as a migration assistant, you will independently and in consultation with your team colleagues perform tasks related to administrative support for case processing. The work includes contact with the public and, where applicable, other government agencies. You will work with registering and managing letters and applications, as well as handling documents and files in document and case management systems. You handle mail, archive materials, and release public records after confidentiality assessments. You register incoming appeals and also transfer cases to courts and support other units' case processing. In addition, you work with various administrative tasks that may change on an ongoing basis. Furthermore, you will perform work tasks on assignment from the unit manager. In your role as a migration assistant, you are a good representative of the Swedish Migration Agency and demonstrate respectful conduct both internally and externally. You can answer complex inquiries where you need to be up to date with new procedures on an ongoing basis. You have the ability to learn quickly and remain calm under pressure when work accumulates. In our work as civil servants, there are also high requirements for judgment and strong security and confidentiality awareness. In this recruitment process, we will apply work psychological tests, and group interviews will preliminarily be held during weeks 42-44. You have Completed upper secondary education with approved grades Experience in administrative work that the employer deems relevant Experience working in project form or work groups over time with shared deliverables including presentation of results or submission of assignments Experience working with requirements for good service and team/group collaboration Very good communication skills and express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish Experience working with digital tools and systems Good communication skills and express yourself well in speech and writing in English It is meritorious if you have Academic education in administration, public administration, or similar area that the employer deems relevant Experience in administrative work within state or public operations, or experience related to the Swedish Migration Agency's mission Experience working in complex operations in a changing environment Information Employment form: several vacancies, fixed-term employment as well as temporary positions with varying length, at the longest until December 31, 2027 Working hours: office hours Location: Göteborg, work takes place primarily in the office Start date: January 2027 or by agreement Employment benefits: Read about our employment benefits here.
