Forestry Technician

SIA "Rīgas meži" invites a forestry work planner to join our team at Juglas Forestry District You will be entrusted with: - preparing and implementing forestry work plans and reports for a designated territory; - supervising, recording, and ensuring quality and timely completion of forestry work; - preparing work orders for forestry operations and work acceptance-handover documents; - being familiar with infrastructure facilities in the territory and ensuring their preservation during forestry work; - conducting regular (at least quarterly) inspections of all forestry workers' compliance with occupational safety requirements; - preparing planned volumes of forest reproductive material and plant protection products for the next calendar year; - ensuring compliance with nature and environmental protection requirements, as well as FSC and PEFC standards; - preparing and submitting reforestation, young stand tending, and other reports to the State Forest Service. We expect you to have: - secondary specialized education in forestry or equivalent; - experience working with state, municipal, and public organizations; - experience using information technology and office equipment; - excellent knowledge of Latvian; - good communication skills; - Category B driver's license.
