Limbažu Municipal Main Library invites applications for a Regional Chief Methodologist – a knowledgeable, responsible, and initiative-driven specialist (permanent position). Your main responsibilities: • Provide methodological and consultative support to staff at public and school libraries in Limbažu Municipality; • Visit municipal libraries, evaluate their work, and train new employees; • Collect data and prepare reports on library operations; • Coordinate and supervise library social media activities, offering recommendations for content improvement; • Prepare libraries for accreditation; • Participate in project development and implementation (including state-level projects); • Work with library information systems; • Organize seminars, courses, and other professional development events; • Provide patron services, operate cash registers, and use POS terminals. We are looking for you if you have: • Understanding of library work specifics and regulatory acts governing the field; • Willingness to work independently and responsibly, making decisions; • Higher or secondary specialized education (as per the Library Law – preferred); • Good ICT skills at a user level; • Ability to analyze information and work with data; • Interest in event organization and public speaking skills; • Initiative, precision, and high sense of responsibility; • Good communication and collaboration skills; • Ability to plan work, set priorities, and meet deadlines; • Desire to learn, develop, and follow industry trends.
