We are now seeking an engaged and relationship-building teacher for a longer-term substitute position at the elementary level. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES As an elementary school teacher, you will: • Plan, implement, and follow up on instruction based on curriculum goals. • Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment. • Be a mentor for a student group and support students' academic and social development. • Work closely with colleagues, student services, and guardians. • Actively contribute to the school's collective development work. QUALIFICATIONS We're looking for someone who: • Is a certified teacher with credentials to teach grades 1-6. • Has clear pedagogical leadership and a strong ability to create structure and a focused study environment. • Builds strong and positive relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues. • Is engaged, flexible, and solution-focused. • Enjoys collaboration but also takes personal responsibility and drives your work forward. Experience teaching at the elementary level is a merit. Who are you? You are a teacher who sees possibilities before obstacles. You enjoy meeting students where they are and are motivated by helping them grow both academically and as individuals. You value collaboration, have a good sense of humor, and want to contribute to a workplace where we support each other and have fun together. Employment type: Fixed-term employment. Duration: 6 months or longer, start date: 2026-08-17 or by agreement, end date: 2027-06-16. If you are offered employment within the Children and Education Department, you are required according to the Education Act to present a certificate of no record from the Police Records Register. Employees in the municipal group should have a good work environment and work in balance with family, friends, and leisure time.
