About the Position In collaboration with Columbia Electronics, we are now seeking a mechanical designer who designs test fixtures for circuit boards! Columbia Electronics designs and manufactures test fixtures for circuit boards primarily, but also fixtures for final testing of finished products. Here, mechanical design, precision, and user-friendliness are combined in a system. It's about increasing performance, minimizing risks, and creating smarter solutions from the start. In this role, your tasks consist of designing test fixtures according to specifications for manufacturing. The work also includes developing design proposals for customers and working on continuous improvements. The position also involves significant customer contact. Columbia designs and manufactures one-off products for customers, which means each new project presents new challenges. Therefore, this position suits you if you have strong problem-solving skills and an analytical eye. As a designer, you are responsible for ensuring the product meets the customer's requirements. Working hours are during daytime, with some flexibility. The position is planned to be filled after summer or by agreement. You will be employed directly by Columbia Electronics, but the recruitment is handled by Ikett. About the Company Columbia is an electronics company that develops and sells test equipment for the Scandinavian and Baltic markets. Today, Columbia supplies test equipment with a focus on customized test fixture solutions for circuit boards. The company designs and produces both its own fixture solutions and has a number of complementary agencies. Columbia also sells complete test systems and provides testing development and service for these. The company was founded in 1977 in Kolmården, Norrköping. Today, it is part of the Industry business area within the publicly listed Addtech AB (publ) group. Your Profile We are looking for someone with several years of experience in mechanical design or similar, strong communication skills, and excellent problem-solving abilities. As a person, we see that you are self-driven, proactive, communicative, and solution-oriented.
