About the Role In your role as a mechanical design engineer, you'll hold a central position in product development throughout their entire lifecycle. You'll work on both new development and further enhancement, where you're responsible for creating sustainable and efficient design solutions and ensuring they meet high standards for quality and functionality. You'll handle design changes and ensure that product data and technical documentation are always updated according to applicable processes. The work involves close collaboration with project managers, production, procurement, and other functions, giving you a broad and varied role with many contact points. You'll become part of an engaged team where you're expected to take ownership and contribute to the bigger picture. Here, initiative, structure, and a willingness to continuously improve work methods and results are valued. Your main responsibilities include product development and mechanical design, further development and maintenance of existing products, management of design changes, updating product data and technical documentation, and close collaboration with cross-functional teams. Your Profile We're looking for someone with solid experience in mechanical design who is driven to work in a technology-intensive environment where precision and quality are critical. You've developed strong expertise in the field and feel confident taking responsibility for your tasks and deliverables. You thrive in a role where you can combine independent work with close team collaboration. As a person, you're structured, solution-oriented, and thorough, with the ability to drive progress in your work. You're also communicative and find it easy to collaborate with different functions and contribute to a positive and results-focused team climate. We see that you have several years of experience in mechanical design and high technical expertise in the field, either as a specialist or with a broader generalist profile. You have experience with CAD tools such as Creo, CATIA, or equivalent, and are accustomed to working with product development in technically complex environments. You also have a good understanding of change management and working with product structures, as well as good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written. It's a merit if you have experience with PLM systems or have worked in a regulated operation. The position may be subject to security requirements, which means you'll need to undergo and be approved according to applicable regulations.
