About the operationKiruna Ore Processing's mission is to refine ore from mine to finished product. The main parts of the process are drying, enrichment, and pelletizing. The department consists of a total of eight sections, four of which are part of the main process and the remaining four are support sections within quality, technical and process development, material processes, and maintenance. Learn more about us at the processing facility here: From mine to port - LKAB. Your role As a field mechanic with us, you'll be part of an engaged workplace consisting of both shift and day staff. You and your colleagues will primarily work on preventive and corrective maintenance of our enrichment and pellets plants. This involves working according to established maintenance schedules as well as improvement work such as rebuilds and safety jobs. As a field mechanic, you'll also work night shifts at all facilities as an emergency response team for breakdowns and prioritized work. Because of this, the role requires great initiative and high capacity as an independent mechanic. This is truly a mechanic role beyond the ordinary. Here you're part of a team with significant impact on daily work where your safety and well-being are the highest priority. What you bring As a field mechanic, very high demands are placed on independent capacity both regarding knowledge/experience and problem-solving. Collaboration is also of utmost importance as you work closely in partnership with colleagues. High school education with mechanical focus or equivalent acquired competence is a requirement B-class driver's license is a requirement Fluent Swedish in speech and writing is a requirement Multiple years of industrial work experience (meriting) Professional experience in gas/arc welding (meriting) We warmly welcome your application!
