Responsibilities
As a medical technology coordinator, you are responsible for ensuring quality, structure, and competence regarding the use of medical technology products within the operation. The assignment involves close collaboration with operational managers, medical responsible physicians, the medical technology department (MTA), and other medical technology coordinators in the field. You have a central role in coordinating, developing, and quality-assuring work with medical technology products, as well as ensuring that employees have the right knowledge and training for safe use of equipment. The assignment includes, among other things:
. Responsible for quality assurance of the use and handling of medical technology products.
. Organize and conduct introductions and reviews of the department's medical technology equipment for newly hired employees.
. Coordinate redistribution, new procurement, and purchasing of medical technology products in collaboration with the operational manager, medically responsible physicians, unit managers, and assistant unit managers.
. Collaborate with medical technology coordinators within intensive care, postoperative units, and MTA.
. Lead the operation's medical technology group consisting of medical technology responsible personnel from anesthesia units.
. Be super administrator in TILDA.
. Promote a high level of competence in medical technology and contribute to units working according to common routines and procedures.
. Plan, coordinate, and follow up medical technology training initiatives.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who is a specialist nurse with a focus on anesthesia care and have clinical experience in the field. You have a genuine interest in medical technology, patient safety, and quality improvement, as well as a good understanding of how medical technology equipment is used, maintained, and developed in daily clinical practice.
It is meritorious if you have experience with:
. Medical technology education and competence development.
. Development and implementation of routines and guidelines.
. Quality and patient safety work.
. Work in or close collaboration with MTA.
To succeed in the role, you have good ability to work both operationally and strategically. You thrive in a coordinating function with many points of contact and have experience in planning, implementing, and following up training initiatives.

About the Operation
The anesthesia and intensive care operational area conducts operations at the region's three hospitals: Örebro University Hospital, Karlskoga Hospital, and Lindsberg Hospital. It is a large operational area with approximately 400 employees. Our work areas are anesthesia, intensive care, operating service (postoperative and day surgery), and a neurointermediate unit. At Karlskoga Hospital there is an anesthesia department, an intensive care unit, and a postoperative unit.
